AL.comâs SEC football players of the week for Week 13

Here are AL.com’s SEC football players of the week for Week 13 of the 2023 season:

Offense

Joe Milton, QB, Tennessee — Milton had a career day in a 48-24 victory over Vanderbilt, accounting for six touchdowns. The senior from Pahokee, Fla., completed 22 of 33 passes for 383 yards and four touchdowns without an interception, and also ran for two short scores.

Defense

Chuck Hicks, LB, Missouri — Hicks keyed a Tigers defense that shut out the Razorbacks for three quarters and held them to just 98 yards passing. The senior from from San Diego totaled six tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack, and also forced a fumble that teammate Jayden Jernigan returned 10 yards for a touchdown.

Special teams

Barion Brown, KR, Kentucky — Brown totaled 180 return yards and ran back a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in a 38-31 victory over arch-rival Louisville on Saturday. It was the third career return touchdown for the sophomore from Nashville, Tenn., tying a Wildcats program record.
